Thrown Over 01:45
I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna be your facade, be your howl. Tonight. It’s all right. I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna be consumed and out of tune. Gripping fear, love is a mistress. Killing time, desolate the mind. I smell fear in my bones. All fucked up. All alone. Thrown over. I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna be your facade, be your moan. Gripping fear, love is a mistress. Killing time, desolate the mind. I smell fear in my bones. All fucked up. All alone. Thrown over.

Roughneck 02:12
Forgive me, dear, I’m holding these blood bricks in captivity. All vexed. Can you help me quick? My gut - reduced to its lowest Capacity. Yeah Blood Bricks Ugh! I’m ruined as you have your shelter Grinding these bricks - over and over So you can laugh at stand up comedy A loving home with electricity Forgive me, dear, Sisters on the verge of collapsing. And my soul, corroding. Starving throughout three years. And I just wanna be free. I’m ruined as you have your shelter Grinding these bricks over and over So you can laugh at trajectory A loving home that made me bleed My hands, they're withered, feet severed, severed, all just for you.

Malt Forlorn 02:04
In my eyes, I regret nothing. In my thoughts, Malaise’s building. On my own, With enough to survive, The life that’s leading, It’s merely a cry. The season has changed, A lot stormed before my very eyes. It’s not the same, I’m leery of what my thought supplies. The draught is near, But don’t you fear. Nothing for hallucination, I’m ready for reparation. In my eyes, I regret nothing. In my thoughts, Malaise’s building. On my own, Enough to survive, The life that’s leading, It’s merely a cry. {Bridge} The bottles I’ve broken Cause nothing but apprehension And the roads I’m driven to Nothing but damnation I’m on my own. I’m on my own. I’m on my own. Fucked up and alone. In my eyes, I regret everything. In my thoughts, Malaise’s building. On my own, Enough to survive, The life that’s leading, It’s merely a cry.

Zone Zero 02:34
The fascist tries, the government thrives Chipping away at our peace of mind Swing dance into death Autonomy is where I wanna be Seeping into catastrophe Keep us in chains Our hopes in vain Buying time Rejoice in crime Autonomy is where I wanna be The fascist cries, the government lies Rotting away with their assets in hands Fight now! We’re under duress! Autonomy is where I wanna be Seeping into catastrophe Keep us in chains Our hopes in vain Buying time Rejoice in crime Autonomy is where I wanna be Get me out - get me out - get me outta here Get me out - get me out - get me outta here Get me out - get me out - get me outta here.

Nihilistic ways, Let’s bite away, Bite away. Yeah, I’m knackered. Couldn’t give a toss. Anymore. The system. Eroded. As my head Washed up ashore. Under control, under control The ache, oh the ache It’ll live in vitriol Under tyranny Let’s lose control Let’s lose control . Nihilistic ways, Let’s bite away, Bite away.

Hotter every year Hotter everywhere you go Talk about the weather Don't admit what we all know Temperature rising up Higher and Higher When crops start to fail The situation gets dire Disaster always looming Nobody does a thing The world plays deaf, dumb, blind And one-eyed men are kings Over and over Species extinction Our death is coming, That's an easy prediction I hate to be a cynic but I hate false hope even more I hate to be depressing, but that's what punk is for You always shoot the messenger And then ignore the mess Just shoot yourself instead And you'll worry even less We all know the problem We could try to fix it We can't just wait for the one-eyed kings to give a shit

Kowtow 02:18
Code of conduct hereby obliged, All garments shall cover the sights. Yield to action - coerced by HIS mission. Dissolve your rights, your rights of adornment. Banning purity, it’s the pretext to victimise What a cry for thy naked eyes Her unveiled posture, Susceptible to diatribes. It’s now or never, succumb or subside. Procured by the poor and their remorse. It’s something in the eyes of the brute force. Inventing bleakness - for the back of bones. Biting derelicts - cancel out their moans. Play superior in the guise of a hero To protect and preserve for those who kowtow, A custom that reduces bodies to hollow. Weaken the rights of those who don’t follow. This is not fair This is not fair This is not fair My dear, My dear, My dear, This is not fair It’s their bodies, not yours to verify Their blood, not yours to sacrifice All liberation cremated alive. Vile traditions the rights to criminalise

Debut Album + Complete Discography &
Box Set Vol. DONE in a Series of None.

Blood Bricks started rehearsing in March of 2020, played their first show July 24th, 2020, and their final show on November 14th, 2020 along with a bunch of other shows spread over that 113 day period.

These laborious fruits are the 9 original songs (out of maybe 15 or so total that I had sketched out) that we managed to polish up and learn to play well enough to be able to add them to our live set (well enough that we knew how it should start and more importantly end so our shows didn't just start devolving into some kind of super in your face over the top open mic jam night) during our brief window of time as a living breathing band. Those near-mythic 113 days of magic and romance.

Blood Bricks would like to thank the following people, but will never get a chance to do it due to our tragic and untimely death at the tender young age of 113 days:

- Our man in Les France Land, "Gengis Than"
- Steve G for the early efforts and demo track
- Daryl & Son, the best father-son fans a band ever had
- Pierre & Cloud for letting us make such a godawful racket on a budget
- Steve Porte for owning the rights to every picture taken of me in the past 5 years and never charging a fee when I use them on Tinder
- Oscar and Oscar's and Scotty B. for indulging us in our antics
- Jesse for the pro drum sounds that I mixed amateurishly
- The Goldilocks Zone and its constituent members including but not limited to Ronan, Jack, Pav, Hansley, and Jesse again. Wait, is that all of them? Then it's limited to just those guys, anybody who joins them at this point has a lot of ground to make up to prove they deserve a spot here and with our band dead, I don't see it happening. Sorry.
- Initial G, Mike Dynamo, Vive Adrian & Pierre! aka Funan Beat Empire
- Boran House (sorry, but hey - business never personal, right? riiiight?)
- The Schkoots, Doch Chkae, Sam Rocker, The Kampot Playboys, Psykic Electrik, and anybody else we played a show with
- Zeppelin, Banyan Tree, Pomme and anywhere else we played at too
- Everyone who showed up and stayed put for our 20 minutes of melodramatic fury, even the people who didn't enjoy it. Especially them.
- The 60 people who bought t-shirts (or the 20 people who bought all 3 designs)
- Everyone who had kind or encouraging words for us in such flattering abundance at the shows and sometimes even in-between them
- The Academy and the rest of tonight's nominees in our category whose talent we find so inspiring
- Kenny Chesney
- YOU for taking the time to listen to this record, and I'm gonna assume you must have if you were willing to read this much bullshit about it already. If you haven't, probably you should listen to it now because reading all these liner notes without listening to it makes you seem weird, like a stalker unless you're like my mom or maybe somebody in the band checking to see how badly I might have embarrassed them here by association even though they know they can't do much about it since they still want me to pay them the money I owe them. Check's in the mail, guys. ;)

- NK on behalf of Blood Bricks, 25th of December, 2020.

Ho Ho Ho? Merry Christmas.

Facing indictment on serious charges:

Tin - Vocals
Rob - Guitar
Boom - Drums
Ned - Bass

Drums recorded by Jesse Rickertson (FREE HIS DAD! They did? Cool)
Guitars recorded by Robin, Rob's grunge loving twin brother.
Vocals and bass recorded by Ned, if you want to call handing Tin a mic or plugging in my bass and clicking a red dot "recording" stuff.

All tracks were mixed by Ned because straight up you can't claim to be DIY and then go hire a record producer to make your songs sparkle and you can quote me on that. Learn to do this shit yourself, you don't hire studio musicians to play on DIY hardcore records so why do it with the mix? Because it'll sound better? And music is primarily a sound related phenomenon? Okay, good point, but you're still a poser compared to me and my willingness to take shit to the next level with no regard for my own art, this is BOSS stage bro, a place where you can't play because you're out of lives, son, you're at the loading screen, it's game over. DONE. (poser).

All songs written by Ned initially & then Blood Bricks collaboratively, and if they are at all good it is mostly due to the effort put in to the latter process rather than any inspired aristic epiphanies experienced through the former. I came up with the structures and wrote the bass parts and the rest of it was based on the bass which was premised on the basis of the question ... How low can you go? Etc. Tin wrote the vocal parts, though I'm not sure when because he didn't do it at practice, or practice at practice much really, though he did attend, and still managed to be the best thing about what we did, so probably they came to him in dreams I guess, like his Manc accent and those jean jackets, all just dreams come true when you think about it. No, don't think about it. Rob didn't write guitar parts, he was just playing it all improv like a jazz virtuoso, he's pretty good when he turns up loud enough for anyone to hear him. Boom decided which drums to hit and when to hit them, this was not his first rodeo (okay, with occasional help provided by Tin through pantomiming, gesticulation with phantom sticks, and beat boxing drum noises, which they may not do at rodeos, no clue, haven't even attended my first one yet).

Lyrics to Red Card, Green Card and One Eyed King by Ned, not for any particular reason, and I think these album notes truly demonstrate that he doesn't need a lot of reasons to write things down.

All other lyrics by Tin. I would name the songs but you'll be able to tell by the drastic increase in overall quality on his, and also the drastic increase of UH! type exclamatory grunts, there's a correlation.

Album cover and all other art work (logos, t-shirts, posters, whatever) were original sketches (painting for the album cover) by Tin. Most, if not all, of the design/layout that made use of the artwork was by Ned, but I'm sure you guessed that because it was pretty obvious we weren't hiring anyone professional to do it given that we were too cheap to even get it mixed properly. We paid out band dividends instead, like a corporation going bust that hands out bonuses to its CEOs while laying off all the employees. If the corporate bonuses were only $125, it would admittedly not stir much controversy if it was that little amount of money, so this analogy is garbage, just keep moving. Go on. Go. I said GO! Get out of here. I know, it's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday, but come on, fuck off. Okay fine you can stick around and listen to the songs again if you insist on it ...
