This one seems like its buried neck deep in irony considering why/how the band came to an end ... until you realize that Ned wrote the lyrics, not Tin, and while they were partly about Tin's predicament at the time, they were also based on years spent observing the inequalities and privileges and obscenely classist and elitist policies that all gov'ts in the "developed world" use to restrict the movement of billions of people across the globe all unapologetically on the basis of their personal wealth, while affording their own citizens near-total freedom of movement (as long as they too can pay for it ...) and all these other ugly truths related to passports and visas etcetera, so it's not just Tin I'm talking about, the lyrics, they might also be about other topics, like abortion. It's not about abortion, but like abortion. Controversial. Like immigration if it was abortion.
